1. which vitamins should not be taken together?
When taking vitamins in the form of food supplements, you should pay particular attention to their correct intake. This includes not only the essential intake point, but also the right combination of vitamins. There are vitamins that can be taken together and should even be combined together to improve their effectiveness. However, there are also vitamins that should not be taken together.
- Iron should not be combined with calcium, magnesium and zinc as they displace each other from the oxidation state. It is better to administer iron with vitamin C. Vitamin C promotes the absorption of iron.
- Folic acid should not be combined with zinc as this prevents absorption.
- Vitamin D and K2 should be taken together. Vitamin K2 supports the sun vitamin by activating proteins and making them usable. This includes the protein oseocalcin, for example.
2 What are vitamins?
Vitamins cannot be assigned to specific chemical groups. Strictly speaking, they are organic molecules that are formed by plants and bacteria. One example of this is vitamin C. Vitamin C is actually ascorbic acid. Plants do not need vitamins because they can produce all the substances they need themselves. They can practically provide for themselves. In contrast to plants, the human organism needs vitamins in order to maintain vital functions. This includes, for example, the maintenance of a healthy immune system. The human body cannot produce the majority of vitamins itself; they must be taken in daily through a healthy and balanced diet. If the organism lacks vitamins, various deficiency symptoms can occur. These are, for example, muscle pain and fatigue.
3. forms of taking vitamins
Vitamins should be ingested daily with food. In addition to vegetables, fruit naturally contains a particularly large amount of vitamins. As many people nowadays cannot manage to eat a healthy and balanced diet due to stress, more and more people are supplementing vitamins in the form of food supplements. On the one hand, vitamins can be taken orally, i.e. through the mouth. There are capsules, juices and tablets. Then vitamins can be administered through the vein in the form of an infusion.
4. the functions of vitamins
- Extraction of energy from carbohydrates and fats
- hormone production
- Production of enzymes and blood cells
- food conversion
- Protection against pollutants
5. conclusion: which vitamins should not be taken together?
When taking vitamins, one should make sure to combine the right vitamins. Iron should not be combined with calcium, magnesium and zinc, but iron can be taken with vitamin C. Folic acid should not be combined with zinc. K2 improves the intake of vitamin D3.
